Matthew's been working with Kumon for the past two years. Remedial help in math complete with daily homework sheets. Matthew actually moans and groans as he knows the daily routine. Needless to say, he's pretty happy that his days at the Kumon center in Shanghai have come to a screeching halt. Of course, you know that doesn't mean he's off the hook forever. He'll get a reprieve for the next few weeks. He won't have to go to the center but he's got to do the worksheets over the summer. Ms. Huang has been a positive influence on him. She runs the Kumon center and it's sad that we had to say good-bye today. He's come a long way since the first time we walked in. She'll be missed by me at least. I'm sure deep down inside, Matthew will miss her too.
